Dan Andrews the Premier of Victoria State has announced last night the next stage of Covid-19 restrictions easing. Step 2 will start on the 21st of June at 11.59pm.

What you need to know

  • Sport

A cautious return to community sport, full-contact training and competitions for under 18s starting on the 22nd of June, and everyone back to full competition by 20th of July.

For indoor sport centres and gyms they will be allowed to receive up to 20 people per space with a limit of up to 10 people per group for adults.

Swimming pools changing rooms and showers reopen. No lane limits but with a maximum of 20 people in the pool area.

  • Hospitality

Great news for the Hospitality industry, Bars and clubs can reopen to seated patrons up to 50 people per space and alcohol can be served without food.

Pubs, restaurants and cafés will be able to host up to 50.

  • Entertainement and culture space

Cinemas can screen films, theatres and concert venues can put on live shows. Galleries, museums, libraries, outdoor amusement parks and zoos could welcome people with up to 50 people in indoor space.

  • Holidays

Shared kitchens and bathrooms at camp grounds and caravan parks can be used again.

And the snow season has got the official green light.
