Graduate Work Stream 🎓
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated and whose skills and qualifications match specific occupations needed in Australia. This visa allows you to live, study and work temporarily in Australia. Usually, you can stay for up to 18 months, but *Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders have a special status and can stay up to 5 years.
The Graduate Visa 485 cost is AUD 1,895 or more.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be under 50 years of age
- Hold an eligible visa
- Have held a student visa for the last 6 months
- Have a qualification in a listed occupation (not required for applications submitted between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023)
- Have applied for a skills assessment in your designated occupation on the Qualified Occupations List (not required for applications filed between July 1, 2022 and June 30, 2023)
- Provide proof of adequate health insurance for all applicants at the time of application.
- Provide proof that you requested an AFP check at the time of application
- Provide proof of English language proficiency at the time of application
Post-Study Work Stream 💼
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated from an Australian institution. It allows you to live, work and study in Australia on a temporary basis.
It can grant you a stay in Australia of 2 and 4 years, depending on your qualification.
Same exception as the previous one for Hong Kong and British National Overseas passports which can stay up to 5 years.
The cost of this visa starts at 1,895 AUD.
To be eligible, you must:
- Be under 50 years of age
have applied for and obtained your first student visa on or after 5 November 201 - Hold an eligible visa
- Have held a student visa within the last 6 months
- Hold a recent degree in a course registered with CRICOS
- Provide proof of adequate health insurance for all applicants at the time of application
- Provide proof that you requested an AFP check when you applied.
- Provide proof of the required level of English at the time of application.
Temporary Graduate Visa Australia (Visa Subclass 485)
